Equestrian pursuits are an important part of the sporting lifestyle at Oldfield, an 860-acre, private club and luxury master-planned community located in the heart of South Carolina’s Lowcountry.  For horse owners, the equestrian center offers twelve 12 foot by 12 foot rubber matted stalls with automatic waterers and individual fans. Our red Morton barn is situated on twenty acres which includes ten pastures and paddocks for the daily turnout of your horse. For training and exercising, there is a large sand mix riding arena with jumps and a sixty foot round pen as well as several miles of trails. The barn comes equipped with two tack rooms, hot/cold wash racks, washer/dryer, an automatic fly spray system and a recently installed fire monitoring system. The equestrian center manager lives on site to ensure twenty four hour per day oversight of the horses’ welfare. For the convenience of our member boarders, we have an area for horse trailer parking.

A relaxed and friendly barn, the Oldfield Equestrian Center welcomes riders and boarders of all levels, ages and disciplines.  You don’t even need your own horse to enjoy our center. Learn new skills by taking a lesson or a leisurely ride on Oldfield’s trail which meanders through woods and around the ponds of Arrowhead. Each year Oldfield offers a variety of activities for equestrians to enjoy, including attending horse shows, hunter paces, clinics and fox hunts. In addition, every summer we offer multiple opportunities for children of all ages and abilities to participate in week long and partial week horse camps.
