Lowcountry Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (LEAP) is a non-profit organization that provides the unique benefits of equine-assisted psychotherapy to the people of the lowcountry. Staffed by EAGALA-certified licensed mental health professionals and equine specialists, LEAP provides psychological services to a wide variety of clients on a for-fee and scholarship basis. LEAP’s particular non-profit mission is to provide services to at risk children, adolescents, and families who have histories of abuse, neglect, and abandonment. LEAP has treatment facilities in Huger, on Johns Island, and just outside of Summerville.

Rein & Shine
To create and sustain an equine assisted therapy facility where people with disabilities of all kinds can learn, grow and heal. Rein and Shine is a NARHA (North America Riding for the Handicapped Association) member facility that has been committed to providing horseback riding as
therapy to children and adults with physical, mental and emotional disabilities since 2001.

The Lowcountry Saddle Club is primarily a trail riding social club, comprised of a group of horse owners who love to trail ride. We are located in the area surrounding Charleston, South Carolina.

Middleton Place Hounds was recognized as a member of the MFHA in January 1977. The primary hunt country consists of land in Charleston and Dorchester Counties, containing over 7,000 acres on Middleton Place and Millbrook Plantation. Hunting days are Sunday and Tuesday and Thursday as announced. Middleton Place Hounds is primarily a drag hunt and maintains a kennel of approximately fifty foxhounds, including crossbred and English foxhounds. The hounds are treated with love and kindness by our kennelman and huntsman. Visitors are welcome and should contact the Secretary or any Joint Master. www.middletonplacehounds.com
