 I received my first horse as a small 10-yr old girl. He was a 17 yr old 16.2 Palomino-Appendix who had shown all over the country with my then step-sister-in-law, and she had retired him from his show career.  "Yellow-Cat" was fabulous!  He carried my little butt around and really taught me that I could ride. He never took a wrong step, never refused a jump, and grew older gracefully.  My second horse, albeit pony, Nibbles - taught me TO ride!  She taught me to fall, she threw me into and over jumps, she bucked me off  routinely and occasionally for sport! 

Over the years, I've owned and ridden many other horses, but the first two are my solid memories of riding and learning to ride.  I was fortunate we were able to have horses most of our lives and still am. 

Lowcountry Horse came to me in the middle of the night one night, a couple of weeks after we acquired our current horse, "Cowboy".  After realizing how much stuff I needed, equipment, vets, farriers, and realized I was literally  living with the yellow pages on my desk I thought a place where all of the local equestrian information could be found where it was easy to get to and easy to remember was the way to go.  I came up with the idea of LowcountryHorse.com.

I work very closely with Terri Seignious and do all of her real estate marketing and  photography.  I thought LowcountryHorse.com was a great place to market her wonderful equestrian properties as well as some we thought were special in and around the area so, she agreed to partner with me on the site and LowcountryHorse.com became a reality.  I also love showing off my photography on the site!

Over the course of several weeks, now several months, Lowcountry Horse.com has taken a shape and a purpose.
